What base alcohols and proofs are available?
190 proof food grade alcohol is available from apple, corn, grape, sugar cane, wheat and whey. 200 proof is available from corn. For a dilution or any other spec requirement, ask on your quote. If your spec calls for USP grade, see USP grade ethanol.
What is the difference between 190 proof and 200 proof alcohol?
Proof is twice the percent of ethyl alcohol by volume, measured at 60°F. 190 proof food grade alcohol is 95% ethanol by volume, and 200 proof is 100% (anhydrous) ethanol.
