Description

Simple Solvents 190 Proof USP grade anhydrous ethyl alcohol is among the highest purity ethanol available on the market and is intended for use in industrial processes, including the manufacturing of drugs, foods, supplements, ingredients, and cosmetics. This product is not intended for use in beverage applications.

You must be 21 or over to buy this industrial ethanol product. You must comply with all Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Trade Bureau (TTB), federal, state, and local laws. Simple Solvents may require a copy of your state or federal license, even when purchasing products that require a federal excise tax payment.

This product may be available for purchase without a permit from the TTB. However, some state and local regulations may apply. Because all non-denatured ethanol products are considered ‘taxable alcohol,’ the TTB requires a payment of excise tax of $25.35 per gallon. As directed by law, Simple Solvents applies for the tax payment directly to the appropriate federal government agency.

Risk Factors

Toxic by inhalation. Flammable, dangerous fire risk. TLV: 1000 ppm in air.

Hazard Statement

​Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. No smoking. Keep container tightly closed. Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical, ventilating, and lighting equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves and eye and face protection. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Seek medical attention. If eye irritation persists: get medical attention. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children.

NFPA Hazard Classification

Health: 2 (Moderate) Materials that, on intense or continued (but not chronic) exposure, could cause temporary incapacitation or possible residual injury, including those requiring the use of respiratory protective equipment that has an independent air supply. These materials are hazardous to health, but areas may be entered freely if personnel are provided with full-face mask self-contained breathing apparatus that provides complete eye protection. Flammability: 3 (Serious) This degree includes Class IB and IC flammable liquids and materials that can be easily ignited under almost all normal temperature conditions. Water may be ineffective in controlling or extinguishing fires in such materials.
